Speedfactory Dodge Challenger -- Click above for high-res image gallery
Even though last year's
SEMA was ostensibly represented by the Camaro, it was Dodge Challenger City in the halls. To make sure the Challenger doesn't come up lame a year later, Speedfactory has taken a 2009 SRT8 Charger with a 6.1-liter Hemi aluminum block, bored that block out to 7.1-liters (440 cu. in.) and, among other tweaks, pasted a Vortech V3 centrifugal supercharger on top. The result is 700 horses when provided with 91 octane to drink.
To handle the boosted grunt Speedfactory has made a number of other modifications, including the installation of a Mopar Performance NAG 1 transmission and Getrag IRS with 1000 HP half-shafts.
