Need For Speed Underground
Well it seems like alot of people on here got that for xmas, so what do you guys think about it. I think it is probably the best racing game to date (even better then Gran Turismo 3) but the only thing i dont like about it is all the fucking rice, and how you have to do so many races before you can buy more performance stuff (i hate those types of games where you have to unlock things) But i have the miata, its pretty decent. Oh and how do you unlock things, ive done alot of races and been on like 4 car mags but i havent unlocked anything new besides stupid grafixs and neons and all that ricy shit, I WANT FUCKING PERFORMANCE!!

Yea that is the only draw back of the game, all that rice, like the flames that come out of the tailpipe when you turn on the nitrous. I had to put a roof scoop on my car to get the rep level up ( i didnt want to since they are so ugly) but i didnt and now my nice clean looking car is turing in to a ricer's wet dream.

This Miata's pissing me off... I've gone like 25 (maybe more, I don't remember) races, and have a stage 2 turbo, BUT HAVE NO FUCKING TORQUE! I try to launch, and everyone jets ahead of me! Every time! If I spray the NOS, it just spins, and I still get beat, then I don't have the nox to pass the douche at the end!
The traffic AI is better, now they have "missions" rather than just driving along in the same lane... The Mission: To pull out in front of me. AND IT PISSES ME OFF! I lost the same race about 10 times because on the last lap, the same damn truck would pull out in front of me! it was 6 laps, so I'd forget about it until I saw him coming up at 145+ MPH! Bastard... Oh yeah, and I hate how when you hit traffic, or catch air, it changes the damned camera angle... And how you go flying up in the air and spinning and shit... I like the game... Drag mode rocks. I like to push other cars off the road... So does the drift thing (it rocks). I get hella points with the rx-7 I pimped out in the quick race mode. That's how I got all my style points and unlocked shit. I'm number 8 in the drift rankings, so I get a x3 multiplier, and get like hella points each time... I got a single drift that got me 38,000-some-odd points in that rx-7 once.. It was too badass.

how do you change the colors of the grafixs on the side of your cars, mines just gray/white and i cant figure out how to change it. and how do you get all those extra things like the lights and shit, do you just redo the same boards over and over agian?

The traffic is pissing me the fúck off too --- and the drag races are getting on my nerves --- damn cars pull out at the last second --- and the car feel like a 10 tons of lead bricks in the drag races --- I love the circut and Sprints... But the drifting is starting to get boring --- I thought it was going to be alot better...
And what's the deal with putting on the stupidest sh!t on the car to get your reputation up:rolleyes: And having to buy parts just to race --- it doesn't let you save up money to buy that all out sh!t when you want...banghead:

if you go read the message boards on the website, youll find out the AI is specifically designed to cheat so you lose......
notice how you go around a dinky little curve that our grand ams could take (though your in a RWD turbo car with tons of upgrades) and you slide in circles when your ahead of the comp? Its this little thing called catchup, it forces a wreck so the AI can catch up, but in 99% of cases, they win the game is ok, but once it starts cheating me i just leave it alone for a few days and when i come back to it i can generally overcome the BS of it.

I prolly should turn off the catch up option then....
And all those fúcking vinyls --- :rolleyes: I do major points in the drifting and whoo hoo I get 4 more vinyls added to the 500 I already can choose from:banghead:

Do you have online network???? I got it for x-mas too --- but I haven't set it up --- I wonder if all this modding of the cars will help in a race online --- cuz to me --- the game will always let the AI have a better launch and better cornering... I did find a glitch last night -- I guess it was a bad one. When I was racing and I had to jump that opened bridge --- I guess a car behind me crashed or something --- so as I was in the air in slow-mo a car appeared in front of me blinking and when I landed I hit it --- well I took a few corners and then i saw the car that I hit roll off the front of my car when I was braking hard --- I have my view in first person so I couldn't see that I was carrying that car for a few corners --- and my g/f said that was some stupid sh!t for the game to do... I almost made that car win cuz I was carrying it on mine:rolleyes:

just wait til you get a skyline... then you guys will stop complaining about launching ;) the eclipse is a good launching car too... quick in the drag also.
i've had the game for a while... but i'm going to buy a network adapter within a week or so and play it online. i'm looking forward to showing off my drifting skills :D -dc
