I use the factory 2.0 turbo Getrag 282. The 2.0 Pontiac, Quad, and V-6 all use different bellhousings. The Pontiac 2.0 OHC is basically an Opel engine from Europe.

Very nice car. Ive heard about swaping to DOHC on those motors, but never seen a car that had it done. Great work.

Anything you heard about it came from me. So far as I know, I was the first to make the connection way back in 2002. I am the only so far to do a C20 DOHC conversion. I'm sure the swap has been perfromed in the UK and Europe, but they all use SFI going all the way back to 86 or so. Lot's of SOHC 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 Astras and Corsas running around with n/a C20XE's and turbo C20LET's.

(I hope that doesn't sound arrogant. I don;t mean to be)

Man, is that car ever sick. You've really done a lot to get to where you are, and I respect and envy that. It might not be too beautiful on the outside but its truly one-of-a-kind, and the engine bay is secks!!

Thanks for the props. I am working on the outside. I plan to put the rockers and wheel flares back on it, but leave off the tacky body-side trim. I'm going to grind to rivets off the doors and slick it out real good before re-painting it Polar white. I also have a set of Sunbird Turbo hood heat extractors (louvers) I am going to blend into the leading edge of the hood, right above the turbo. They will be alot more functional as heat extractors than they were, baffled, on the Sunbird. That's all for the body. Nothing fancy, very nice, but very much a sleeper. It needs some new rubber, so I plan to go with a 225/50/16's for a little more "meat" (still on the '94 GA GT wheels, my favorite wheel Pontiac ever made...).
