Toyota chairman: U.S. government could lend hand to GM
TOKYO Toyota Chairman Hiroshi Okuda thinks the federal government would bail out General Motors if it sinks further into a financial tailspin.
Okuda says the auto industry is a symbol of the United States. He says, quote, "if G-M faces further difficulty, I don't think the U-S government will leave it." Okuda's remarks come as Toyota tries to overtake the struggling American rival as the world's top automaker. G-M lost nearly five (b) billion dollars in its North American operations in the first nine months of 2005. It recently announced plans to cut 30-thousand hourly jobs and close a dozen plants by 2008. Okuda says G-M's problems are caused by high oil prices and the lack of popular new models. Source: MSNBC

maybe if moron buyers would stop being morons and buying crappy imports...
and magazines would stop giving them horrible reviews... you don't think it's true? in car and driver last month, they compared hhr, pt turbo, xB, and element. the xB won in virtually no categories that mattered (except mpg), carried fewer passengers, had the least amount of power, was the slowest as a result, and had a tow rating of ZERO pounds. how do they give an award to that? how do they claim it as the best of the group? i shouldn't even mention they're ugly as hell. bush said, a couple weeks ago, that he wouldn't bail them out. i can't seem to find the article now, though.

yes toyota please buy gm, gm power + toyota quality= bitchen cars i sorry but american cars are getting crappier and crappier and imports are better, lol to bad the import cars are made here and american cars in mexico and canada, lol.
