What do you want in 2006?
What do you want on this site? I plan to add a photo gallery where users can post pictures. The amount of pictures you'll be able to post will be unlimited. But what else do you want to see? What would make you more active on the site? Let me know!

I liked how it was a year ago with all the different forums for each car and engine. Maybe start out by doing the popular body styles (the people that post here alot) like Nbodies, jbodies, fbodies, and wbodies. then maybe just have 4,6,8 cylinder engine sections. or maybe GM cars area should be broken down into FWD and RWD GM cars. I think its hard to get new people with different vehicles to join since they come here and everything is lumped into one area, its hard to search and view if your new.

I understand what you mean. However, the goal was to have a lot of activity in one section in hopes it draws more members. Some of the sections before would get like 2 posts a week. I thought if I was a new member, came to the site, and saw my section had no activity I wouldn't join. However, with a general GM cars area it would be a lot more active.
But, this is something I am going to take into consideration and keep an eye on.

well i know the gm vs ford site will be changing its name and a lot of ppl are unhappy about it. if u can attract those loyalist it will help u out greatly. i dont get on here as much as i used to myself and i think a big portion of that is lack of discussion and these stupid newby grand am owner ?'s. its to the point i dont want to waste my time w a response to a question like how do i make my own euro clear tailz for my 94 a topic that has haunted this forum since it started years ago.

yeah a rate my ride would be sweet, and possibly advertise some aftermarket parts sites that specialize in gm, i dont know how many times new guys come in asking "where can i get intakes, or exhausts or carbon fiber brake dust shields for my car? Oo another idea that just popped in my head was a Tech section with FAQ's and everyone can post tips and tricks and links on how to do things, i dunno just a thought

All of these are great suggestions and I plan to implement many of them. The biggest problem is posts. It's hard to have loyal visitors, but luckily we do. However, attracting new loyal visitors is a challenge. I would love to get new users. If everyone can let others know about GMPT on other sites they post on that would be great. This doesn't mean spam them .. just tell a few people you chat with on that site about us.
I will keep everyone updated and thanks for all the support and help!

this isn't the only forum i'm on like this... only a few posters that are "loyal" and frequent. i kinda like it, but it does make it hard to get new folks to stay, they feel like they're not part of the "in crown"
but, i don't know many, outside q4f, that like their domestic :p
