200th U.S. Smart car delivered

ZAP — the company responsible for importing the Smart ForTwo to America — today announced it has sold its 200th Smart car in America. ZAP announced the deliver of the first Smart car on April 3rd (pictured right). The Americanized Smart ForTwo gets 40 miles per gallon.

How much do these little cars cost? I've looked everywhere, but can't find a price.
If it's more than $10,000, I bet most people would be better off buying a used Civic or Corolla.

but it says americanized in the first post, but doesn't say what that means. does it mean it has to be able to maintain highway speeds? that'd drop gas mileage a bit.
