While I'm not the hugest Apple fan, I do have to use it at school fairly often for video editing/animation/modeling/etc, etc and these Mac Minis are downright awesome.
Now I just have to wait till Microsoft or HP comes out with something like it. LoL

I know. I took class in microprocessors this past semester and we saw a video about Apple. They said Steve Jobs was booted by out of apple by his employees when they came out with the macintosh. The video was mad old too. Weird.

I've always liked apple stuff, and have been impressed with the designs.
FINALLY! There is something for even the cheap bastards that buy computers.
I was a computer sales man for 3 years and lots of people where turned off by mac for three reasons.
1. They have never used one before and where afrade to change.
2. Worried they would not be able to find software.
3. The Price.
With OS X and these prices maybe more people will buy them.

I remember back in the very early 90s (90-91).. Steve Jobs ran NeXT Computer. We were starting a huge project using object-orientation design and programming and were going to use NeXT.
Long story short.. the NeXT hardware was super sexy. Monitors were 19-21 inches.. and the desktop case was maybe 3inches high and sleek.. and sexy.. and black. All the hardware was black.
The demonstration was some disney pirated animation.. and did it ever smoke.. it was phenomenal. They showed the editing software as part of the demo.
The mail system supported sending voice messages in the email, and the lips moved in the message when you played it. Gimmicky but cool as hell.
And then.. in a flash of brilliance.. I decided NOT to invest in Pixar just before Toy Story came out in 1995, even though I'd seen a hint of Job's capabilities back in the early 90s.

But if Apple is is selling them now starting at 499, then the PC version in 3-4 years will probably sell starting at 100. :goob: I kind of like Apples, but I've just gotten so used to PCs, and I have so many bad memories of pre-OSX Apples, that I just don't think I'll ever be able to switch, or even afford to try and switch. :goob:

I actually have an old power mac running OSX and its great, I had it for I guess 8-9 years and its stable and runs well with OSX. I guess its just the old LCII's and early OS that we used in grade school that left a bad taste in my mouth, they just seemed to freeze all the time, but thats been pretty much taken care of in the last few years.
