You'll have to format it into multiple partitions first, then install them to a seperate partition. I haven't ever tried to install 2 OS' to one partition, and assume it won't work (anyone know any different?).
The boot.ini (in windows) or the bootloader (in every linux system I've used) is what tells where each OS is located, and what files to load to initiate the boot process (for whichever OS you choose at the bootloader menu). It's pretty self explanitory when you install it... If you don't catch it, I'd be more than happy to tell you what goes in the boot.ini :) (but I don't know how to modify the bootloader in linux; it might be a boot.ini somewhere too?)

How true is this? I have made my upgrade decision if that is the case... I looked around on their site, and didn't see anything about it (but I didn't expect them to; all hell will break loose when a linux site says something about windows :p)
Ha! It's like Pre-Windows 3.0! (running from the disk)

No Mandrake is not like Windows at all.
The only reason you can say that is because it has a GUI (graphical user interface) during install. But so does all Flavors of Red Hat and Fedora.

I see it (Mandrake) also uses NTFS partitions, as per windows 2000/XP...

duh? lol
the reason i call them windows clones is cause they use GUIs. and windows is THE GUI OS....(fuck mac, its gay) so going to GUI when your entire life was created on command line, is kindve copying windows.
but last i heard more and more windows applications (games, other pgorams, etc) were useable on newer versions of linux.....
i Know Lindows promises almost 100% compatibility with windows programs right now, but its kindve a crock OS anyway.

the only way you can use Windows programs is to use WINE which is a ROM type emulator for windows.

Ah, I was reading about wine on the soulseek forum earlier, but there's a variant of slsk that runs on linux too.
And Jordus, you DO realize that Apple introduced the very first GUI, right?

and not only that, but I tend to like these more mature versions of OSX coming out. I especially like their Terminal program for unix command lines... it adds a lot more power to the OS. don't much care for earlier macOS versions, and I HATE the hardware. thats what i first learned how to use a computer on. 'cept for my commodore amiga of course :D best flight sim machine EVAR!
