So I wanted to buy a PS3 to sell on eBay. Now I'm glad I didn't.
This broke collage student spent 3 days sitting outside Wal*Mart, to buy a PS3, and got the last one they had.

Lets look at the costs involved in his purchase and subsequent sale.
He spent $500 for a 20GB Playstation, $22 tax (Missouri sales tax is 4.225%), $2.40 for eBay insertion fee, 27.56 eBay final value fee. Paypal fee's 26.40. The auction included Free overnight shipping. That's another $40 with packaging?
So ~$618.36 just to buy, sell, ship the PS3.
What is other costs are associated with spending 3 days in a Wal*Mart parking lot? Food? Lawn chair? Blankets? Umbrella? Assuming he had Pizza a couple of times, and other types of fast food, that could easily added up to $50 (6 meals at ~$8 each).
So staying conservative total cost is at least $670.
What about the classes he missed? (eBay auction says he's a broke collage student). Just to use an easy number collage at $1000 a quarter is about $20 a day (~50 days a quarter). So he paid for $60 of education that he did not receive because he was at Wal*mart.
Total $730.
So I ask the question was spending three days in a Wal*Mart parking lot really worth $170?
For some where Minimum wage is $5.15, I can see where this might be viable. Seeing as that's almost a weeks pay before taxes.
But I digress; I should get back to work.
