I had XP on here. My hard drive started to screw up, so when I bought a new one I just loaded Win 2k professional. I had the XP restore discs but didnt want to uninstall all the gay ads on there from the distributor. 2k is much much smoother and faster on this (p4 2.26ghz / 512 RAM).

I got a computer from bestbuy :(
Its a really nice computer... has all top quality components in it (intel board, WD server grade hard drives, 64 mb video, etc) but they had all this annoying best buy shit built into the os. So if your ink went low, it would say "go to bestbuy and get some more." All it came with was a restore disc, and fuck if I'm gonna deal with that shit again. So yea, thats what I was talkin about.

Slacware linux on one laptop drive, win2k on the other drive. win 98 for my studio recording setup (yeah, the yamaha card is old), HPUX on a machine I never touch, win2k advance server on the home network server, win XP pro on a few computers, win 2k on another computer, an AS/400 machine that I dont touch as well...and some more older computers that I dont count cause they collect dust bunnies.
I use linux the most cept when im tuning or writing a chip for a memcal (win 2k for that).
