i don't think one exists that could hold my "digital" music collection, so i don't want a big one to lead me on :p
and the nano is flash, i like to stick it in that little glove box above the real glove box in my GA, in which it takes a rough ride...

I have a 128 MB samsung flash type mp3 player. I get like 30 songs on it. Takes a beating though, even got thrown in the ocean when my hand caught the earphone wire while I was jogging on the beach this summer. Screen doesn't work anymore but the sound is flawless.

I heard the iPod will only play iTune and music ripped from your OWN CD's. If you downloaded something from say the old Napster or any other P2P sites, your screwed.
That alone makes me steer clear of the iPod. Fredzep

as I understand it there are several free softwares out there that interface with the Ipod to work with out using iTunes.
Infact a buddy of mine keeps 15GB of downloaded music + several GB of other software on his iPod.

i'll use foobar 2000's foo_pod plugin for mine... makes it work like iTunes, yay.
