iirc you're gonna have to send in the pcm with the same year as the car. i know on grand am's the tune varies from year to year, meaning that a dhp pcm for a 99 grand am isn't going to work in a 01 grand am. so i would imagine it works the same way for a grand prix.
you also have the option through pfyc.com of sending your VIN#, keeping your core, and having a new pcm properly programmed for your car sent to you, it would cost more but you'd be able to swap back and forth if needed.
i don't know about any locals in florida with powertuners, i know if you go back to ohio at all there are alot of guys there that are pretty damn good at tuning so that's another option.
