New guy from Ohio

Whats up, I own a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado, ECSB with a 357, Edelbrock MPFI, Edelbrock Performer Aluminum heads with 1.6 RR's, Crane Cams Powermax 2040 cam, T56 6 speed swap, Mcleod 500 series disc, Pro 5.0 short throw, 3.73's, Auburm Pro Series Posi unit, Jeg's Aluminum Diff. Cover and some other stuff, I have an Eibach 2/4 Pro-Truck lower kit to still put on, and some Energy Suspension stuff to throw on it too. That's the DD, the play toy is my 1989 Pontiac Firebird, all forged 355, Brodix heads and intake, Demon 750cfm carb, 150 shot, Spohn suspension, gutted, TH350 with a 2500 stall, with 4.10s.

Here's some pics of the truck, I'm too lazy to post pics of the 'Bird, but I'll give you the link to my Fquick site if you want to check it out.

This is an old rear shot, taken last year, I have a roll pan on it now.

Here's the Fquick site with the 'Bird and more pics of the truck on it.

Wow, quite a truck.

How did that 6-speed swap go? Did I have a 5-speed before?

Re: New guy from Ohio

No, I swaped out the 700R4 in favor for the T56 because i was tired of breaking transmissions. The swap was easy believe it or not, the spot for the master cylinder was indented on the firewall, and the transmissions are the same length so i didnt have to make a driveshaft up. Other than cutting a hole in the floor, it looks pretty much factory, it sits 11 3/4" back from where the shifter for the NV3500 would sit, so it's all good. The truck ran a 10.125@69.something, but that was with the auto, 3.42 gears and a open diff. I'm dying to find out what it runs now.

Re: New guy from Ohio

Almost 10 sec flat for a truck that size in the 1/8th mile is quite good.

Any plans to run it this summer with the new mods?

Re: New guy from Ohio

Probably spray a 100shot throw it to see if it'll get to the 8's. If I don't spray it, I'm Procharger D1 bound for Christmas.
