Talking possible new 95 grand prix gtp :D

ok. the car i put under my profile is the possible car i will be getting in a month or two, depending on if i can sell my runescape character (another 400 lol) and what i get for christmas\my birthday. green 1995 pontiac grand prix GTP, 127k miles, hasnt been run in a year or so but has been taken care of the past couple of years by my friends sister. id just like to know some background on the car, whether it will be a good buy for $2200, how long i should expect it to run assuming i take care of it, but also have fun with it....and what cheap but effective performance parts are out there for it ;)

thank you everyone that answers, and it feels good to be a part of this forum!

Welcome to the site, glad to have you here .. 127k miles isn't bad .. hard to say how long it will run since that depends on so many factors. I would advise running a carfax on it for sure.

Cool car! I've always really liked that generation of GP.

I believe the GTPs of that era had the Twin Dual Cam motor. They were a strong motor, but from what I remember, they had a tendendancy to leak oil. Some Fiero guys have them installed in their Fieros and love them though.

I'd take it to a good mechanic to really check it out before you buy it if you can. Preferrably one familiar with the 3.4 TDC motors.
