Just over 155 mysef in the Trans Am but hell I hit over 130 on a weekly basis driving that car!
Best I did was hold it at over 150 for more than 15 minutes in route to a race in western IL
My Grand Am 119 but that was just in a 1/4 mile would go faster but havent tried!

129 shit streaking miles an hour this morning on my way to work in my new GTO. its an 04 but i dont care what anyone says that engine was good enough for the vette, its still good enough for me.
(although the record was three years ago in a steeda cobra my firend owns, he hit like 140ish before the speedo gears blew and the tach was the only thing working... )

It may be listed as 607 on the IAS, but it will actually be faster then 607 MPH. Now the question is, why?

Because air pressure decreases with altitude, and the airspeed sensors rely on the difference between static air pressure and the air pressure striking the outside sensor. So, the higher you fly, the bigger the difference between IAS and TAS.
Most modern aircraft instruments calculate the TAS using altitude, outside air pressure and temperature readings though, so this usually isn't a problem.

i went 105 in my 95 grandam...was pretty fun til my radar detector started beeping...lol but there as no cop :whew:
went 115 in my girlfriends 99 v6stang 5spsd racing a WRX(only lost by 3~ car lengths from a 60 punch)
uh..in the Ventura..the speedo is to far off to tell....like...if i want to do 40mph..speedo is at 32, if i wanna do 45mph, speedo is at 35, 55mph speedo is at 42....yeah it sucks like that. but the farthest i had the speedo was 80mph...so..100 give or take??
