No its not injected into the engine just into the intake. I welded up a intake manifold and the Co2 is injected into the intake and it cools the intake air. Basicly its like a tube around the log part of the intake. And the Co2 is injected into the tube. If u dont understand then oh well im not going to explain it anymore. The engine actually revs about 80-100 more when idle and i hit the button because the fuel is burning better.

From what i figure what he somehow did was welded up a new intake (a composite intake 2000 LS1-woulda been better to just get the F.A.S.T. LSX intake) copper tubes around the (nonvisible while intake is on car-unless he completely welded up a sheetmettal intake and changed all that nice factory engineered runner length engineering) common plenum that he has a jet/solenoid on that the CO2 flows through and then vents to the atmospheric air (not inside the intake/engine air supply)
how he getts the heat of the intake into the copper tubes with as little of the copper tubes would actually touch the intake and then with the coresponding small amount of intake common plenum area to take the heat outa the air (three materials having to transfer the heat out) as the air is at idle it moves slow enough to do something so thats why i guess the idle jumps (i wonder if ya thought about what the engines IAT sensor would cause it to think it suddenly got cold and increased injector duty cycle to enrichen the mixture was what actually raised the idle?-which wont hapen at WOT open loop) but at higher rpm's the air is moving so fast it has about 0.05 seconds contact time with the cold section of the intake.
basicly what he did was find an expensive way of putting a bag of ice on the intake between races etc LOL
sorry dude but ya would have gotten better intake air charge cooling by spraying a 25 Hp shot of N2O (wet or dry settup) into the intake air stream as N2O will chill much more changing state from a liquid (at 900-1100 psi) to a gas at 14.7 ish Psi (depending on barometric readings) where LIQUID CO2 has to be stored in cooled/heavily insulated bottles and weigh a ton-i'll asume your talking about compressed CO2 which cools as it expands but not much.
YUP, sorry dude but ya would have gotten MUCH better intake air charge cooling by spraying a 25 Hp shot of N2O (wet or dry settup) into the intake air stream and tunning it for that or a bigger pair of jets to make more power

An N2O system would cost to much for me. I got the Co2 bottle and solenoid for free. And it works so we'll just leave it at that.

High speeds
The best, though by no means the fastest for me was driving a Citroen Xsara (french car, turbo diesel) at it's max speed of 136mph for 3 straight hours without slowing down. It was a rental car, driving between 11PM and 2AM on my way to Venice, Italy...gotta LOVE the European highways (even though there are speed limits in most places)
In my first vehicle, a '87 Chevy Astro RWD, stock aside from low profile tires and my own custom 2.5" cat-less exhaust...I had her up to at least 115-120...speedo stops at 85, but I passed my buddy in his Z24 reading 115
I also hit the governor on a friends Cougar XR7 at 105-108...governors suck, but when you are next to a Ferrari 360 Modena you have to give it your best
My first ride in a Z06 was a (2000-2001)...I'm unsure of the year, but it was the first generation Z06, silver, and we were doing 115 on the on ramp to the highway, and probably only had space for 125ish with traffic b4 our exit
My most recent visit to a Z06 was a 3 week old '04 Z06 that my friend and I took out drag racing on some local blvds. (Anyone know of Woodward Avenue???)...we had that to 155 (though it has hit 178)...a quick note to the F-body LS1 guys here, a trick we learned from the Lingenfelter guys (pardon spelling)...6th gear is a overdrive on those cars, so just stick with 5th all the way to redline for top speed runs
Finally, for my car...when she was almost bone stock, w/only a 3" turbo back cat-less exhaust I had her up to 135 doing some highway racing in traffic...never had reason or need to get faster...not many people will try to run with you after 100 for more than a few seconds...oh well
Now, with the aftermarket work I have done, I only had her around 115-125, but I can get 90-100 in 3rd if I push it...unfortunately with 3000 miles on rebuilt motor, something let go, so she is seeing her second tear down and rebuild...looking for a minimum of 400hp at the wheels, before I upgrade the turbo again...

keep the eyes open
yes we were obviously out there at night...you just have to preview your stretches of road before you go out hunting people...we found it worked better to run up and down a 1-2 mile stretch and then wait in a parking lot for our prey (otherwise they are always going the other way)...Considering we never saw the flashing lights and we were doing over 100 through Birmingham/Beverly Hills area...we basically stay between I-75(square lake) and I-696... with the Z06 we ran a Viper SRT-10 at each light from in front of AutoEurope all the way to I-75 before he was finally able to get away on the highway, but then we returned to Woodward, and sure enough, we found a Viper GTS Coupe getting on 696...fun times...I'll have to see if I can load the videos on to 1 of my websites...

Where at on Woodward? Thats a shitty ass road in some areas. I would never take any car up to 155. But yes, I know of Woodward. I perfer Gratiot

Re: whats the fastest anyones gone?
167MPH in one of my members 2006 modded SRT-10 Viper. Probably the sweetest feeling in the world, but it makes you nervous as he11. It was on a wide open express way at 3 am. It was all fresh laid pavement too so it was nice and smooth. It still had room to go, he had it speed tested on a dyno type deal and he got it up to 180, he has it on video too.

Re: whats the fastest anyones gone?
a tad bit more than 150. once. take it up to around just shy of 140 every once in a while.
