1 less car theif on the street!
Well ladies and gentlemen, this has been one of the more interesting months I have had for a while and todays tops it off.
I was on my way to school after grabing some dinner. I am driving southbound on arlington just north of notre dame. I notice in my rear view a toyota corrolla comming up behind me very irraticly. I stop before the intersection behind traffic and notice the corrola trying to get by traffic. They are banging on the brakes and end up scraping my back bumper. I then look for a location to pull over and exchange info, when the car takes off. I pursue them down arlington and call 911. I give the cops the details on where we are going and stick with the corrola. I am told that the vehicle is stollen and told not to pursue them as they may be dangerous. I continued with em, as I was very "ticked". They tried to loose me down a back lane and down home st. Just as we are comming up on ellice the cops cut the car off and I pull up behind the car as they try to reverse. The cops pull the two out of the car and throw the cuffs on em.
This is one time that I do have to say "Thanks", to the police for being there. It may be rare, but there I have said it. I give the officer my statement and file the police report on site. After about an hour, I finally continue on my way to class.
I will take a closer look at the damage on my car tomorrow. 1 More set of car theives off the streets. for how long who knows.

Great work Rob! I'm sure autopac will cover the damage costs in this case. Hopefully these thieves weren't under 18, that way they'll get to see headingly up close and very personal.

Thanks Matt
I do have a good question for anyone who can relate to this situation. What happens next? Will I have to goto court and testify against these two? Anyone who can pass along some info about what happens next, I would apprecaite.

very brave but dangerous. bullets go through cars like they weren't even there. glad it worked out ok but next time...don't know what to say just don't want an innocent person hurt i guess. good job though.

When it comes to protecting my wheels I will stick my neck out. BTW got some new details. The Driver and paasenger are bother 20 and 21 yrs old, so they will be charged as adults. The driver has many priors in several diffrent areas, such as drugs, vehicle theft, fleeing the scene and several others. I was given some information about the suspects that I can take to autopac. This is good news, as I was concerned about the two being teens. I was reassured that because there was such strong evidence plus the fact that I assisted in the apprehention, these two wont be going anywhere, anytime soon.
I know it could have been risky going after the two, but I couldn't let someone get away with this.

what if they just reversed and rammed the shit out of your car to get away when you blocked them in? and wasn't chasing behind them giving them more incentive to speed and drive wrecklessly? I'm glad that it worked out the right way this time, but I certainly wouldn't do something like that again.

Hmmm good points.
Also reading that made me think what if the f*ckers remember you when they get out or something. Time to swap those Borla tips!

Well , just got back from autopac and getting my damage asessed and my statemnt made. Here's the story:
I will have to pay for my deductable for now, if I go for the repairs in the next few months. The Adjuster told me that since they caught the suspects and the police have a solid case agaist them, chances are that autopac will go after them for the cost of the repairs and other charges. I will most likely wait til about april to get the repairs done, JIC someone else wants to be a jerk and rear end me. By that time they should have been though court and the deductable should be waived. The Damage estimate came to about $500 but the estimator said that they might increase it up to $800 because of other posible damages that are not visible. I spent about an hour just getting the statement made, correcting the adjustors spelling, grammar and getting all the little loopholes patched. There is no way now that they will be able to find a run-around in court. I also made the request that when they goto court that I be notified, cause I wanna be there and make sure these two ********* get what they deserve.
I appreciate the support and will keep you guys apprised.
