Chris; When you claybar the car can you use a solution of dish soap and distilled water as a lubricant? I recall reading this on one of the sites.

Dish Soap is very harmful to the paint, even if it is distilled. The Instant Detailer is designed to provide enough lubrication on the paint to help remove the containaments as well as prevent scratches.

I agree. Do not use Dish soap. Use the detailing spray that come w/ the clay bar.

Thanks guys. I picked up a Maguires clay bar kit at Walmarts in Grand Forks for $16.00. They want $29.95 at Can.Tire up here for a smaller kit. I will use the kit lubricant.
