Cruz-in-Downtown

Hey Everyone,
As we have been talking the past few weeks. How many would like to participate in the Cruz in Downtown Car show?
I would hope to get at least 5 or more members together along with myself.

Some of the details are as follows:
The event begins with a parade of classic vehicles departing from the Canad Inns Stadium at 12:OO PM noon sharp. All who are participating in the parade are to marshall at 10:00 AM at the Northwest corner of the stadium, 1430 Maroons Road.

The cost for registering for the car show is $10.00 until July 23rd, 2006, $20.00 after July 23rd, 2006. There will be dash plaques awarded to the first 300 registered participants.

I will ask this weekend about the exact detail and hopefully get a gameplan of the days events. As to how we will be signing up I will have to ask that as well. I will see if I can sign others up as long as they provide the 10$. The organizers normally show up at pony coral on Grant ave. every sunday for the weekly car show. I will head there before I come out for sunday.

I will also try to get a section for our group, so we can parade together.

Saturday, Aug. 11th. Sponsored by Piston Ring Auto Service. Come out and see some of Manitoba’s beautiful vehicles.
Show is “open to all”, experience or Breathe “smoke” at the burnout contest, Vendor’s row, parade, “Free kids zone”, live entertainment featuring Winnipeg’s 50’s band, Jimmy G. and the Doowops. Dash plaques to the first 300 registrants.
Cost $10.00 per car until July 15th, after July 15th $20.00 Register early & qualify for the “early bird prize” You can register at Sunday Night Cruises at the Pony Corral on Grant, Wednesday night cruise at the Pony Corral Downtown & at all Piston Ring locations. Feature Car Club is the Manitoba Classic & Antique Auto Club.

Well Just some new info. It turns out I may not be available on the date that this event is happening. So I wont be able to organise the group cruise.
