Gas all over
What do you do when you goto fill up your car with some gas, only to be drenched in the stuff by some gas station attendant.
Yeah it happened to me. I was filling my car when I notice the gauge on the pump was getting quirky, I asked one of the guys to look at it, he pulled off the other nozel and turned the pump on. I guess he didn't notice there was a bag tied around the handle and Swash!
Well I got hit directly with about 5-6 litres of gas. All over my coat, pants and the side of my car. :wtf:  The guy was like  , and all he could say was Oh my god I'm sorry, again and again. All I wanted was to get the car cleaned off cause gas and paint don't work too well. Out of the station comes the area supervisor who give me the details and says they will reimburse me for the car wash and dry cleaning. I quickly dashed to the closest car wash, to get this crap off my car. After the wash I roll down all my windows and open the sunroof and still get dizzy from the smell. Driving home with the windows open and only +1'C out does attract attention, cause I had people lookin at me like ( OMG doesn't he know its cold out ) DUH!!! After a bit I get home and dump my gas soaked clothes, wash up and hope that this hasn't screwed anything else up.
Anyone ever had anything remotly close to this happen? I know they will reimburse me for the bills, but whatabout the run around? Geez, I mean some guy pointing a gas nozel directly at me then firing. I'm just glad nobody was smokin anywhere near me.
Getting high off gas, sux... Headache galore, plus the fact my hands were frozen from the open windows.
My big question is , what comes next?

Special thanks to Jeff, had my car cleaned and the inside seat washed, to get rid of the smell of gas. Yeah anders, I guess it could have been sewage. Still, you don't play water gun with a gas nozel. I mean I was covered with about 8 liters of gas, and the nautious smell...well... let's just say, only in the north end. :D
Stoped by Perths today to ask about how my jacket might be, and I was told, they may not be able to get the smell out. So there goes another problem, but I will findout for sure when I pick it up on the 18th.
LONG LIVE SELF SERVE!!!

ok im sorry but i have to ask what were u doing while this guy had his nozzle pointed at you. were u not paying anymore attention to what was going on then this guy. and why did u let him come over i would of finished before letting him pick up the other nozzle. lesson learned pay better attention to your surroundings

I was filling the car and looking at the amount on the pump.
The guy that sprayed me was a employee of the station.
Orange circle=me
Red X=employee
I couldn't see the lever for the other nozel and didn't figure that the guy was going to turn the pump on and squeeze the handle. What I didn't know is that the handle was already squeezed by a bag that was tied around it. The guy turned the pump on and Swack! in 3 seconds I had the worst case of gas I'd ever had. I think my problem was not , knowing my surrounding, but , doubting that some people can be so stupid.

Well just a bit of an update. Was recouped for the car washes but still waiting on the jacket. Was supposed to get it today, but it didn't show, so I have to wait til monday. All this running around crap makes me twice as  as I was when I got sprayed.

Got everything taken care of now. The jacket was washed and no smell remains (thank goodness) and I was recouped for the cost of the dry cleaning and got a free tank of gas. Decided to get filled with premium fuel, since my poor car got soaked with gas too. Gasoline is good to have, but not fun to wear. :D
