Uhh wash it by hand? Don't need a high-pressure gun to clean the car (your seemed cleaned last night). Here is what I would suggest if you wash it by yourself.
1 bucket warm water
1 bucket warm water w/ liquid soap
1 micro-fibre wash mit or 1 sponge
A garden hose
use one bucket to clean the wash mit and then soap it up. Work at one section at a time and then dip the wash mit into the rinse bucket.
Here are the sections that I do when I wash my car at home:
Windshield, top of hood, bumper, top of driver door, bottom of driver door, top of rear door, bottom of rear door, rear window, trunk, rear bumper, top rear passenger door, bottom of rear door, top of passenger door, bottom of passenger door.
Then I tend to soak the car in water.
Dry the car with high-quality MICRO-FIBRE clothes. These won't damage the paint and won't leave as many swirl marks if done right. I bought a pack of 20 at Costco for $50 or something. They're really nice and soft. I personally would stay away from any chamois as they like to get dirty and scratch your paint.
Now you do your detailing.

edit: I personally use Meg's stuff. NXT Generation for most of it except for the wax, as I like the Gold Coat.
